Does the entire family get buried along with an Egyptian pharaoh? Also, can pharaohs have more than one wife?

Dr. dig responds:
No, pharaohs were not buried with their families, although sometimes their closest relations were buried nearby. Tutankhamun was buried in a small rock-cut tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The priests could only just cram his own stuff in, there would have been no room for anyone else. We don't know where his chief wife, Ankhesenamun, was buried, but perhaps her tomb is still waiting to be discovered in the next-door Valley of the Queens. Yes, pharaohs could have more than one wife -- Ramesses II had lots, and more than 100 children! Only one wife was chosen as the chief queen, though.
